With a wide variety of trim levels and plenty of high-tech advancements, you’re sure to find everything you need with a modern take of this nostalgic SUV. Here are some of the 2021 Ford Bronco’s features that make it stand out against previous models and competing SUVs:
Trim Levels and Exterior Details
The 2021 Ford Bronco comes in seven trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition. While all models feature an old-school yet sleek exterior, they each have unique details that set them apart.
The Base trim features the Bronco essentials, allowing you to customize it to your liking. Some notable features for this edition include the easy-to-remove doors and roof and the 16-inch painted steel wheels. In contrast, the Black Diamond trim has unique steel front and rear bumpers, heavy-duty bash plates, and 17-inch painted steel wheels. With the Outer Banks trim, you get 18-inch machined aluminum wheels and LED headlamps and tail lamps. The top-tier First Edition stands out with its unique hood, body-side graphics, and 17-inch Beadlock capable wheels.
Power and Performance
No matter the trim level, the upcoming Ford Bronco offers plenty of power under the hood. The Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands trim levels feature a 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine that generates 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. In comparison, the Wildtrak and First Edition come with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. All models that come with the standard 2.3-liter engine give you the option to upgrade to the 2.7-liter engine.
In addition, the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Badlands trims feature a seven-speed manual transmission with crawler gear, while the Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and First Edition have a 10-speed automatic transmission with trailer control.
The Bronco also offers impressive off-road capabilities for your next adventure. While the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Outer Banks trims feature the standard High-Performance Off-Road Stability System, the Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition trims feature this same system but add on the Bilstein Postein Sensitive Dampers. In addition, every model comes with the Terrain Management System with various G.O.A.T Modes.
Entertainment and Connectivity
When it comes to entertainment and connectivity, the 2021 Ford Bronco doesn’t disappoint. While the Base, Big Bend, and Black Diamond trims feature an 8-inch instrument panel, the Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition have a high-level instrument panel.
All trims feature the SYNC 4 infotainment system, and the Base level’s system features an 8-inch LCD capacitive touch screen with swipe capability. The Outerbanks and Wildtrak add enhanced voice recognition to this same infotainment system. For an upgraded experience, opt for the top-tier First Edition, which comes with the 12-inch LCD capacitive touch screen with swipe capability. This trim level also adds on a voice-activated touch screen navigation system with pinch-to-zoom capability.
All trims apart from the First Edition feature a six-speaker audio system for you to play your favorite music. The First Edition trim level ups the ante with a 10-speaker B&O Sound System and a subwoofer.
Every model also comes with USB ports, Ford Connect, an AM/FM stereo, SiriusXM with 360L, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let you connect your smartphone to the Bronco while giving you access to several applications. They also give you the ability to receive phone calls and send text messages by speaking.
Interior Seating and Space
The 2021 Ford Bronco features 83 cubic feet of cargo space for you to store groceries, luggage, adventuring gear, and more. In addition, every Bronco trim seats up to five passengers comfortably. While the Base, Big Bend, Wildtrak, and Outer Banks trim levels come standard with cloth seats, the Badlands and Black Diamond trims feature marine-grade vinyl seats, and the First Edition comes with leather-trimmed seats. You also get heated front seats with the Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and First Edition trims as an added luxury.
All 2021 Ford Broncos feature the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology, which is an advanced safety suite of features aimed to give you added confidence on the road. No matter your destination, the Bronco’s features work to get you and your passengers there safely.
All trims come with safety features like trailer sway control, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, auto high-beam headlights, a rearview camera, and AdvanceTrac with roll stability control.
